Find Answers to Common Commercial Coil Questions

We get many questions about our engineering capabilities, production turnaround times, coil customization options, how to get a quote, and our shipping options. We’ve organized this information to quickly introduce our product and service offerings and help you find the proper solution for your HVAC/R project.

How quickly can you manufacture an OEM or replacement coil?

Standard lead times are 21+ days, depending on the project. Our Quick Build program offers expedited lead times ranging from one to 20 days, ensuring you receive replacement coils when you need them.

Do you support custom or OEM-specific coil designs?

Yes. We manufacture coils for multiple high-profile OEMs, and our expert engineering team regularly collaborates with customers to develop fully customized coils for their application.

What information do you need to quote my coil?

To provide an accurate quote, the most important coil specifications we need are the finned height and length of the coil, fins per inch (FPI), and the number of rows. Other useful information includes the coil type, tube size, desired materials, fin dimensions, and casing dimensions.

Do you offer specialty materials or coatings for corrosive or demanding environments?

Yes. We offer coating options including ElectroFin® Epoxy Coat, Energy Guard USA®, and Heresite® Baked Phenolic. Additional coating options are available upon request. Copper fins can also be specified for applications requiring enhanced corrosion resistance.

Do you offer finishing and assembly in addition to sheet metal fabrication?

Yes. Metcam provides powder coating and other product-finishing services, along with sheet metal assembly, electromechanical assembly, contract manufacturing, inventory support, and just-in-time delivery services.

What information is needed to quote a sheet metal fabrication project?

To respond efficiently, please provide STP files, drawings, material specifications, and a bill of materials whenever available. Additional information about production quantities, finishing requirements, assembly needs, and delivery expectations will also help the team prepare an accurate quote.

What precision sheet metal fabrication services do you offer?

Through Metcam, Nationwide Cooling Group offers engineering and design-for-manufacturability support, laser cutting, punching and stamping, forming, CNC machining, welding, hardware insertion, product finishing, assembly, and logistics support for OEM programs.

Can you ship nationwide or internationally?

Yes. We can ship anywhere in the United States, as well as most international locations.

Do you have the engineering expertise to match or improve my existing coil?

Yes. We pride ourselves on the time and effort we put into working with customers to identify their exact needs for their coil project. Using our extensive expertise and engineering knowledge, we select the appropriate materials and specifications to manufacture high-quality coils for a precision fit and optimal performance.
